Last night I watched Yeezy performing his two new tracks at SNL. It was fucking dope. Can’t wait to hear the studio version of two songs. Shit was fuckin’ incredible.
Ben Affleck is set to host Saturday Night Live for the fifth time on May 18, the show’s season finale!
Joining the 40-year-old actor that evening will be musical guest Kanye West.
The sketch variety show also announced two other hosts: two-time host Zach Galifianakis with musical guest Of Monsters and Men on May 4, and first time host and former cast member Kristen Wiig with musical guest Vampire Weekend on May 11!
Opinions about the quality of writing aside, it’s hard to deny: Saturday Night Live has been killing it with the guest hosts this season. Louis C.K., Jennifer Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz - gotta give ‘em some credit.
Fortunately, it looks like the series will be continuing this trend – according to The Hollywood Reporter, comedian Kevin Hart is set to guest host the show next month, with musical guests Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. SNL tends to be its best when they book comedians, so this is definitely promising and exciting news in our books.
Hart’s episode is set to air on March 2
Former Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg and his gang The Lonely Island is back with their new video called “YOLO” featuring Adan Levine of Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar. I seen this short on SNL last night. It was hilarious. This is real comedy rap stuff right here baby. “YOLO” is part of an “SNL Digital Short” skit.
NBC has finally set a premiere date for the highly-anticipated next season of Saturday Night Live, which runs concurrently with the 2012 presidential elections. As announced on its official blog, the long-running late-night sketch series will premiere its 38th season on September 15th with host and musical guest still to be announced.
Well it’s official, summer is winding down. And while we’re sad to say goodbye to sun, shorts and the beach, we are excited to say hello to all of our friends and fans when we return for the Season 38 premiere on September 15th!! It’s been so long; we’ve missed you! So take advantage of these last few weeks of summer, hit up all the spots Stefon recommends and we will see you soon! Cannot wait.
Not returning this season are major cast members Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, and Abby Elliott, and still on the fence is Jason Sudeikis. Seth Meyers is expected to return, and will resume Weekend Update duties.
“Lazy Sunday” is one of my all time favorite Digital Shorts in the Saturday Night Live history. Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell are the funniest dudes ever. They rapping like gangstas. Classic comedy hardcore rap stuff right there. This track is from their 2009 debut album Incredibad. Freaking genius.
Lindsay Lohan helped score huge ratings in her hosting gig for the popular NBC sketch show Saturday Night Live, which aired last night!
The 25-year-old actress, who has hosted the show multiple times, brought the show to the number one time slot last night, beating out all other shows on the major networks.
Additionally, Lindsay‘s episode was the second most watched SNL of the season! NBA legend Charles Barkley takes the top spot for the show’s 37th season ratings win thus far.
Behind Charles and Lindsay, other popular hosts this season have included Jimmy Fallon, Melissa McCarthy, and Daniel Radcliffe, who round out the top 5, ratings wise.

The ’80s really are over!
On Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, actor and comedian Eddie Murphy opens up about his 25 year-long absence from Saturday Night Live. In the early ’80s, Murphy, 50, was a popular cast member of NBC’s sketch comedy show, known for skits like “Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood” and “Velvet Jones School of Technology”.
But the Tower Heist Star abruptly left the show mid-season in 1984, moving on to a blockbuster movie career with hits like Beverly Hills Cop, Nutty Professor, and Coming to America. Over the years the star has been cryptic about his sudden departure from SNL, only citing bad blood when fellow cast-mate David Spade poked fun of him, publicly calling Murphy “a fading star”.
“It was years ago,” Murphy told DeGeneres, 53. “I don’t have any bad blood with that show. And that show is such a big part of my past. I love being part of it.” Spilling on the split, Murphy also said, “Over the years — they did little sh-tty stuff where I was like, hey, F-ck y’all. I’m not trippin’.” So is the SNL vet ready to make amends? “Yeah, I wanna go back,” he finally announced.
Murphy is also focused on his next gig — hosting the 84th Academy Awards ceremony on February 26, 2012. But the future master of ceremonies — infamous for his foul mouth — told DeGeneres it’s a good thing the Oscars’ telecast is delayed. He joked: “If I were to come out on the Oscars in a sky blue tux and pee on myself, they wouldn’t show that, would they?”
A few weeks before his sophomore album Take Care arrives (Oct. 24th), Drake will grace the stage at 30 Rock with a performance on “Saturday Night Live” on October 15th.
Comedienne/actress Anna Faris, who stars in “What’s Your Number,” will host the show. It is unclear what songs he will perform during the broadcast.
Also announced as host and guest on “SNL” are Melissa McCarthy and Lady Antebellum (Oct. 1st), as well as Ben Stiller and Foster the People (Oct. 8th).
