Throwback Of The Day: Donna Summer “She Works Hard For The Money” (1983)

Every hard working female needs a theme song like this. Donna Summer was the best R&B soul singer of all time. R.I.P. to the Queen Of Disco Donna Summer. Oh by the way this song is from her 1983 album She Works Hard For The Money. Amazing voice.

Throwback Of The Day: Next “Too Close” (1997)

I was like 6 or 7 when I heard this. It became the most biggest hit single of 1997.  Step back you’re dancing kinda close/I feel a little umph coming thru on you. Great track.

Throwback Of The Day: TLC “Waterfalls” (1994)

It’s been 10 years since Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes died in a car crash at Honduras when she was 30 years old. This song is one of my all-time favorite TLC joints. I like TLC. It’s from their 1994 album CrazySexyCool. That album was a classic.

Throwback Thursday: H-Town “Knockin’ Da Boots” (1993)

One of the best old school R&B joints of the 90′s. I like this song. This is my jam. H-Town can sing good. R.I.P. Dino Conner.

Throwback Of The Day: Herbie Hancock “Rockit” (1984)

Best song ever with the dope-ass turntable scratches. I loved it though. Happy birthday to the legend Herbie Hancock.

Throwback Of The Day: Johnny Kemp “Just Got Paid” (1988)

I always be singing this song on every Fridays when I get my paycheck. It’s a good song that you can dance to.

Throwback Of The Day: Marvin Gaye “Sexual Healing” (1982)

This song right there is a song that you can make love to. April 1, 1984 is the day that Marvin Gaye was shot and killed by his late father in California. It’s been 28 years since Marvin passed. He was 44 years old. His legacy still lives on.

Throwback Of The Day: Keni Burke “Risin’ To The Top” (1982)

Doug E. Fresh, Redman, O.C., Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Mary J. Blige, Kevie Kev, LL Cool J and others sampled this record. Great classic song of ’82.

Throwback Of The Day: Diana Ross “Upside Down” (1980)

This song was sampled by musicians like Mystidious Misfitss, Kid Rock, Salt-N-Pepa and MC Lyte for her 1996 song “Cold Rock A Party (Bad Boy Remix)”.

Upside down and turn to me. Happy Birthday to the  boss herself Diana Ross.

Throwback Of The Day: Jon B “They Don’t Know” (1997)

I was 7 when this song came out. I still love this song though. Classic R&B song though.
