Happy 40th birthday to the late legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls. Best rapper of all time. This “Stay With Me Version” can be found be on the 1998 compilation album titled Bad Boy Greatest Hits: Volume 1, and Biggie Smalls Greatest Hits album in 2007. I like the both versions of the track better than the Ready To Die album version. I got a good love you didn’t know. Don’t leave your girl around me true playa for real ask Puff Daddy.

This song is called “Friendly Skies” by Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott featuring Ginuwine. Produced by Timbaland. It’s from her classic debut album Supa Dupa Fly. Drake sampled this in his song called “Bria’s Interlude” featuring Omarion from his 2009 mixtape So Far Gone. “Bria’s Interlude” was produced by Noah “40″ Shebib. It was also sampled by Ab-Soul in his new song called “Empathy” from his new project Control System. Missy fly with me.

This song right here is one of my all-time Beasties favorite song and video, it’s a classic. The video was directed by Spike Jonze. They put some action stuff in there. It’s also from their 1994 album Ill Communication. I got this on my iPod.
Rest In Peace Adam “MCA” Yauch.

The lines from the song is “What the hell are you’re looking for?/Can’s a young man make money anymore?/Wear my jewels and like freak it on the floor/Or is it my job to make sure I”m poor/Can’t my car look better than yours”.
This is from his 1990 comeback album Mama Says Knock You Out. Classic line.
The line was used by Mase in his 1997 song called “Lookin’ At Me” and also Kanye West used it on his new single called “Way Too Cold” with DJ Khaled. LL Cool J and the producer Marley Marl received writing credits for the “Way Too Cold FKA Theraflu” song.
Can’t a young n**** get money anymore?/Tell PETA my mink is dragging on the floor/Can I have a bad b**** without no flaws/Come to meet me without no drawers.

The original version of the song was produced by Jermaine Dupri and it was featured on her 1996 solo debut album Hard Core.
The remix version of the song was featured on 1997 Nothing To Lose soundtrack. That track was produced by Rashad “Ringo” Smith who made hits for Bad Boy and LL Cool J. Lil Kim, Left Eye, Missy Elliott, Angie Martinez, and Da Brat has the best verse in that thing though. I like that they put Kool & The Gang “Ladies Night” sample on it. I was 6 when it came out. Classic song though.

50 Cent rhyming over this beat. It was produced by Jake One. De La Soul & MF Doom’s track is a good collabo. It’s from De La’s 2004 album The Grind Date. It also features a sample of Space “Deliverance” same as Talib Kweli’s track but I can’t remember the name. Great song.

This is what Nas and Rick Ross got that hook from this song. Nas remade his version of it.
